Martin Sharp Sex Psych Poster 1967

Martin Sharp was an Australian artist who found himself at the centre of the "Swinging 60's" in London (for a while he shared a flat with Eric Clapton & indeed designed several LP covers for Cream such as "Disraeli Gears"). Sharp worked as an in-house artist for the infamous "OZ" magazine, producing posters for them to sell, completed a number of poster commissions for both Big O Posters & Osiris Vision & designed posters for the underground club UFO. Sharp is generally considered to be at the very vanguard of the British psychedelic movement & is one of the most collectable of all psych poster artists.

The startling "Sex" poster (Big O Posters BO2 1967) was printed on silver foil & measures 20"x 29 1/2". Condition is excellent with a few minor marks only. This poster is original having been acquired from Christie's in the 1990's.

NB. These posters do not like being rolled so this piece will need to be collected or else a separate quote for flat packed packing will be required.
